It holds a vast potential to be one of the front-runners to herald in an era of solar generated electricity. At present, the rooftop solar systems available in the market can, at the most, guarantee a return of ~ 15 kWhe/month-m2 of standard catchment area. For a typical household of a 4 member family, the monthly requirement is about 200 kWhe. These figures are discouraging to the urban populatio
n, who cannot afford these catchment areas in their apartments, and to the rural population, who simply balk at the price tag. Our long term aim is innovating and creating solutions to serve people at the bottom-of-the-pyramid, because we believe that that is where a very viable and profitable market exists. Access to energy is potentially transormative in every context, without it there is no growth, no information and no life. And that is what we dream of providing ~ access to cheap, affordable and non-polluting energy. We’re trying to democratize solar energy so that any man, woman or even an adolescent child may have access to what nature has been kind enough to bestow on us so generously. To fulfil that endeavor, we've come up with scalable solar rooftop solutions which can be customized as per the needs of our customer, including hot water, in an area 50 % less than what the existing systems requires at a price roughly 50 % of what the existing technology costs. All this as a DIY easy set up and easy maintenance kit along with an app which will help the users in controlling their consumption and curb their wastefulness.
