Lab conditions and real roofs are two very different stories.

On site, sheets are cut, handled, transported and drilled. Every scratch or cut exposes the coating to real-world conditions.

That’s where the difference between PPGI and PPGL becomes important. PPGI’s zinc coating can provide sacrificial protection at exposed edges and scratches, while PPGL relies more on its protective aluminium-zinc layer.

PPGI uses a pure zinc coating, while PPGL uses an aluminium-zinc coating with 55% aluminium, 43.4% zinc and 1.6% silicon.
