Azad-1: Student Satellite Project - is an ambitious project to develop and launch a NanoSatellite developed by Undergraduate students of MANIT, Bhopal. The project was started in April 2012 with a team of 40 UG Engineering students from different Streams. This project envisions excelling MANIT Bhopal into realms of Space Science and Technology Research by motivating students to work on development

of student satellite. It is a dream project that requires pursuit of excellence, dedication and shear hard work. ‘Azad-1’ is named after the great visionary and leader Maulana Azad to represent the freedom of Knowledge and Expression that he represented through his great deeds.
