The Guru Gobind Singh Educational Society's Technical Campus (GGSESTC) in Bokaro celebrated World Earth Day with great enthusiasm, focusing on the theme "Planet vs Plastic." The event took place both online and offline, featuring a welcome address from College Director Dr. Priyadarshi Jaruhar. Dr. Nikhil Kant, Deputy Director AICTE and a climate crisis expert and poet, was the chief guest and speaker. He inspired students with a heartfelt ghazal and poem on the subject, earning high praise from the audience. During the event, 20 new students joined the college's Green Army, pledging to protect trees and plants. Students also participated in watering new saplings, demonstrating their commitment to environmental conservation. The college aims to reduce plastic use by 60%. The program was conducted by students Srishti Kumari, Neetu Kumari, and Shubhani Jha. Professors Apoorva Sinha, Sushma, Gautam, Mukesh Kumar Sinha, Anil Kumar Singh, Gurmel Singh, and others made significant contributions to the event.
