Trip Highlights:
Day 1 - Independence Day Adventure
We embarked on our journey at the crack of dawn on Independence Day, August 15, 2025
anticipating potential traffic restrictions due to the celebrations. Luckily, crossing the border was a not so difficult. However, things got interesting when we hit the Nizamuddin railway station. The police had set up a blockade, and we had to walk with luggage for almost a kilometre to reach the station. But we made it just in time to catch our train, Khajuraho Vande Bharat.
The 8-hour journey was worth it, as we arrived in Khajuraho at 1:45 pm. Akash, warmly welcomed us with garlands, setting the tone for an unforgettable experience.
Upon arrival we immediately left for Raneh Waterfall located in the buffer area of Panna National Park
Raneh Waterfall is a breathtaking spectacle during the monsoon season. Located 20 kilometers from Khajuraho in Madhya Pradesh, India, it's a natural wonder formed by the Ken River (also known as Karnawati River) The waterfall is surrounded by a stunning 5-kilometer-long canyon made of pure crystalline granite, showcasing vibrant hues of pink, red, and gray.
*Monsoon Experience:*
Visiting Raneh Falls in monsoon is a spectacular extravaganza. The fury, force, and massivity of the waterfall are truly mind-blowing. The water level rises significantly, creating a huge waterfall that's a treat to behold. The surrounding canyon walls display colorful crystalline granite, creating a stunning visual spectacle.
