🚀 Successful Installation of EcoGun AS MAN DC – Air Spray Electrostatic Gun (Direct Charge)

We recently completed the installation of the EcoGun AS MAN DC Electrostatic Spray Gun with Direct Charge technology at our client’s plant in IMT Faridabad.

🎯 About the Technology
The Dürr Air Spray Electrostatic Spray Gun (Direct Charge) is a powerful solution designed to reduce overspray, improve finish quality, and enhance paint transfer efficiency.

It uses a negatively charged electrode on the spray gun needle to attract paint to the positively charged component—delivering a uniform, high-quality finish while minimizing wastage.

🔧 Key Technical Highlights
- Lightweight, solvent-resistant composite gun body
- 60 kV maximum charging voltage
- Direct charging for solvent & waterborne paints
- ATEX Ex II 2G 0.24 mJ certified
- Small size, low fatigue, high efficiency
- On-gun generation of electric charge

🧪 Why the Client Purchased the System
Before finalizing the purchase, we conducted a live demo at the client’s plant and compared the performance of their existing spray gun with the Dürr electrostatic gun.

The results were significant 👇
📊 Paint Consumption & Productivity Comparison
>> With the client’s existing gun:
- 5 litres of paint produced approx. 200 components
- Paint leftover: 2.7 litres
>> With the Dürr EcoGun AS MAN DC:
- The same 5 litres of paint coated approx. 270 components
- Paint leftover: 3.5 litres
- Less paint wastage
- Better surface finish
- Lower air consumption (4 units vs 6 units) – resulting in electricity and compressor maintenance savings

✅ Outcome
The client immediately saw the benefit in terms of cost savings, higher productivity, reduced wastage, and superior finish quality.
