World Day for Safety & Health at Work: A Day of Collective Commitment at Domino Printech
Quiet, procedural, expected - that’s usually how safety exists in most workplaces. But sometimes, it needs to become more visible than that.
This year’s World Day for Safety & Health at Work at Domino Printech India felt like one of those moments where safety wasn’t something being observed, but something being expressed.
Our guiding thought was simply built around this year’s theme: Engage, Educate & Empower.
And slowly, it started reflecting in everything that followed.
Why This Day Matters to Us
The idea of World Day for Safety & Health at work has deep roots in India’s industrial journey, shaped by the need to reduce workplace accidents and build structured safety systems across industries. What started as a national effort decades ago has now become something we actively carry forward within our own spaces.
For us, it’s a reminder that safety is never accidental. It is built through awareness, discipline, and shared responsibility.
Turning the Theme Into Action
We saw engagement through safety poster displays, badge distribution, and slogan creation that reflected real experiences from our teams.
Awareness came alive through sessions, safety videos, quizzes, and open discussions around everyday risks and improvements.
And most importantly, our people opened up to report near misses, share ideas, and take ownership of safety in their own way.
From the Safety Pledge to interactive sessions, every activity carried one simple message: safety belongs to all of us.
Voices That Made the Day Special
One of the most powerful parts of the day was hearing from within our own teams.
Managers shared reflections on safety culture. Employees stepped forward with slogans that were thoughtful, creative, and deeply personal, rooted in lived workplace reality.
From “Safety is Gainful, Accidents are Painful” to “Engage, Educate & Empower People to Enhance Safety”, all were reminders written by our own people, for our own people.
Recognizing Effort, Reinforcing Culture
We also took time to recognize those who consistently strengthen our safety ecosystem.
From OFI reporting and PPE compliance to emergency response and kaizen improvements, every recognition stood for attention to detail that protects lives.
Whether it was warehouse teams achieving OFI targets or individuals being named Emergency Response Heroes, these moments reflected responsibility in action.
More Than a Celebration
We closed the day with something simple and meaningful – shared appreciation, team lunches, and conversations that went beyond work.
Because safety is not built in sessions and days alone. It is built into everyday behavior, in small corrections, and in the willingness to care.
Moving Forward
World Day for Safety & Health at Work may be marked once a year, but at Domino Printech India, we carry forward the intent every day with continuous engagement, education, and empowerment.
Because at the end of it all, safety is not just about systems or rules. It is about people looking out for each other.
