Team Nitrox NIT kurukshetra students-Design and Fabricate an ATV(all terrain vehicle) for SAE BAJA International held at NATRIP race track every year.

Motivated engineers and automotive enthusiasts who design, fabricate and compete for national and international events of SAE. The off road champions of India, Team NITROX has remained among top 6% teams for last two consicutive years. NITROX is among the three techno-managerial teams of NIT kurukshetra, other two being ACCELERONS & IBRIDO for formula car and hybrid cycle events.

Scorching sun over the pits, checklists slowly turning into signatures at the evaluation bays, presentations where the nods were calm but the follow-ups were not, endurance laps that tested everything we had, and when the results came out, all that heat, noise and waiting culminated into a moment we knew we’d remember for a long time. 🤩

By the moment it was time to step in, much of the recovery had already begun. What remained was the quieter, harder work of making sure it did not slip again. Stability had to be protected; and sometimes the fight was not technical at all..

There was the crowdfunding campaign that kept things moving when comfort would have meant slowing down and hitting dead ends. There were long conversations with the administration when standing still was not an option. There were uncountable attempts to bring Autokriti closer to the spirit it once carried, even if that road remained unscathed. Yet, it did not stop the laurels for the club and far beyond just work, memories were forged in time.

Most of what mattered happened in smaller moments inside GOLE. Evenings that quietly became nights. Suggestions that only worked because someone stayed back a little longer. Juniors who slowly became the people the club could rely on. Somewhere along the way, the place stopped feeling like something one worked in and started feeling like something one was responsible for.

Whatever stands today is not a monument. Just something steadier than before. Something meant to keep moving after. The kind of work that hopes not to be remembered as ruins in sand, but as foundations someone else will keep building on.

The GOLE will still sound the same tomorrow. The lights will stay on. Someone will still be working later than planned. It is strange to step away knowing the place continues without pause, but maybe that is exactly how it should be.

It is time to step away now, though a part of it all will always be somewhere inside, waiting for the next set of hands to pick up where it was all quietly left off.

Every moment quietly turns into a memory. Not on the pins, nor on the track, but later, when the GOLE is a little emptier and the familiar tables begin to belong to different people.

This year began the way most years begin. With a chassis that was still coming together, virtual presentations over the summer break, long work sessions for time immemorial that stretched without notice, and the familiar confidence that somehow, by the time it mattered, the car would be ready for reveal to a wide audience.

Somewhere along the road to eBAJA’26 at Pithmapur, and then to ATVC Season 9 at Ahmedabad, NX-15 became more than the machine we were building. It became the place where the season unfolded and a team slowly found itself again.

Quiet responsibilities without asking to be seen, and juniors who stayed back a little longer each night until it began to feel like theirs too.

Conversations around the buggy that started as instructions and ended as trust. By the time the tyres had touched the tarmac, something had already changed among us. Countless edits, templates, proof readings and banters among everything else in between. Soon, the static submissions were done for as well.

For some of us, it may be the last time standing beside as part of Nitrox in the way we had always known it. For others, it’s the first time realising that the team now rests in their hands.

The season closes here, and don’t fret, for there is light at the end of the tunnel. What comes next is already beginning, even if no one has said it out loud yet..

Perhaps, it is time for NX-15 to finally take a nap.

Loud, dusty, stubborn and impossible to ignore.

Every lap, every push and every second spent somehow led to HR 07 NX 0015 leaving its mark exactly where it wanted to.

ATVC Season 9 felt less like a competition and more like a statement.

Like a bumblebee that shouldn’t fly, yet does.. NX-15 hums against the wind, unafraid. And in that fleeting moment, power feels almost… graceful.
