Ten years ago, in December 2016, I published an article titled: "Understanding 'Neural Equity' your power to do wonders!"
At the time, I was observing the early architecture of algorithmic distribution. I warned that the most expensive real estate in the world was the human brain, and that our "equity" was being hijacked by high-end delivery methods designed to bypass the brain's natural defenses.
If you read the attached 2016 archive (https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/understanding-neural-equity-your-power-do-wonders-prateek-dubey), you will see I was right about the disease. But my optimistic title proves I completely underestimated the required cure.
Back then, I wrote that the solution was "awareness, choice, discipline, and practice." I believed human willpower could out-maneuver a billion-dollar algorithmic extraction industry.
A decade later, the data is clear: Willpower failed. The result is mass Neural Atrophy. It is a compounding, invisible decay occurring at a breathtaking rate.
We cannot journal our way out of algorithmic dopamine extraction. We cannot rely on passive "awareness" while collaborating with rapidly scaling synthetic compute (AI).
Initially, I believed the answer was seamless Agent-Human Collaboration. Our another architecture, Vyom, is built precisely on that premise.
But as I built, a critical failure point emerged: While AI agents were becoming exponentially smarter, the human operators were actively degrading. They were losing focus, presence, and the cognitive bandwidth required to actually direct the machine meaningfully. The trajectories were crossing in the wrong direction.
You cannot collaborate with a high-end intelligence if your biological compute is compromised. If you show up to that table with a fractured mind, you are not a peer; you are a subordinate.
I realized we couldn't just build better AI. We needed structural enforcement for the human. We needed to lock the baseline.
While others want to drill electrodes into the biological compute Our Brain, I have retained my faith in its natural design. We didn't need to invade the hardware; we just needed to engineer the input to command it.
I stopped writing about the problem and spent the last few years engineering the counter-measure. Out of every vector we explored, only one interventional protocol successfully commanded the necessary state-shift.
That protocol just became active.
