Holika Dahan is celebration on the eve of Holi, symbolizing the victory of good over evil and the power of faith and devotion.
📖 The Story Behind It
The ritual is rooted in the legend of Prahlada, a devoted follower of Lord Vishnu, and his father Hiranyakashipu, a demon king who demanded to be worshipped as God.
When Prahlada refused, Hiranyakashipu tried several times to kill him. Finally, he sought help from his sister Holika, who had a boon that made her immune to fire. She sat in a blazing fire with Prahlada on her lap, intending to burn him.
However, due to Prahlada’s unwavering devotion and divine protection, he remained unharmed while Holika was burned to ashes.
👉 This event symbolizes that evil intentions destroy themselves, while truth and faith always prevail.
Holika Dahan reminds us that no matter how strong negativity appears, truth and faith always win. 🔥✨
May this sacred fire burn away ego, fear, and obstacles from your life and fill your heart with positivity and strength.
