Dr. S. K. Vasudeva is one of India’s most distinguished defence scientists, with an illustrious career spanning over four decades in strategic research, defence technology, and national security. He served as the Principal Scientific Adviser to the Prime Minister of India (2013–2025) and as the Chief Controller (Research & Development) at DRDO, where he played a pivotal role in advancing India’s indigenous defence capabilities.
A key contributor to India’s strategic programmes, Dr. Vasudeva was closely associated with the Pokhran nuclear tests and several landmark missile, aerospace, and defence technology initiatives. Renowned for his visionary leadership, scientific excellence, and commitment to self-reliance in defence, he has mentored generations of scientists and engineers.
Currently serving as the Chief Technical Adviser of Aerorotors, Dr. Vasudeva continues to guide cutting-edge innovations in aerospace and drone technologies, inspiring the next generation of technologists and entrepreneurs.
