Mozilla SJCET @ Google DevFest'18

An event on Hacktoberfest, 2018 was successfully conducted by the Mozilla family at St. Joseph’s College of Engineering, Pala on October 9th 2018. The event was a one day programme and around 60 students participated in the event. Most of the students were first years who was new to the world of programming. Our primary focus was to let the students aware of the potential of open-source and how the Mozilla community play a vital role in the world of open-source.

The event consisted of sessions about Version Control System, Git, Github, Hacktoberfest.The participants were divided into a group of six and were given challenges so that they could enjoy the event to the core. Participants were able to play with some of the open projects in the Git hub during the code challenge session and they were able to modify the project and give pull request to the author. Mozilla family@ SJCET is proud to say that all the sixty participants contributed to the Hacktoberfest 2018.
