Identifying Geometric Progression was among the earliest great mathematical achievement of our civilization. We need the understanding of Geometric series if we want to model any cascade event like spread of Covid 19 virus or anything similar. It was the first infinite series who’s sum we could compute.

In this video, we tried to connect bounce of the table tennis ball and geometric progression. The coefficient of restitution gives makes the height of bounce of Table tennis balls a geometric progression. It is very easy to compute the sum of the GP series and finding out any term in the GP series. This makes it very easy to model the bounce with the series.

The God of Mathematics and the leader of the CULT.

Pythagoras of Samos (c. 570–c. 495 BC) was a notable Greek mathematician and philosopher. He is most known for proving the Pythagorean theorem, which deals with right angle triangles.
He had a significant impact on mathematics, music theory, and astronomy. Mathematicians still apply his theories nowadays. He was one of history's most brilliant philosophers. He founded the Pythagoreans, a community of mathematicians who adored numbers and lived as monks. Plato was influenced by him.
Pythagoreans believed all that exists in the universe is based on numbers. They were the first people to realize that numbers exist in their own right. Pythagoras is perhaps best known for his right triangle theorem. He asserted that the length squared of the hypotenuse (C) of a right angle triangle would equal the sum of all its other sides. Unlike anything else in the world, Pythagoras believed that music is based on whole number ratios. He also believed music had healing power. According to legend, Pythagoras passed away at the age of 75, about 495 BC. Some ancient sources mentioned him as living to the age of 100. It doesn't matter where or when he died, his mathematical legacy lives on.

The first person to give rules to compute ZERO.

The incomparable Indian mathematician and astronomer Brahmagupta was born in 598 AD in the Northwest region of India. He attended the Brahmapaksha school, one of the four major schools of Indian Astronomy and became an astronomer. At the age of 30, he wrote Brāhmasphuṭasiddhānta. Though he is an astronomer, he is mainly recognized for his work in mathematics. One of the most significant work is the introduction of zero to the number system. His work, the ‘Brahmasphutasiddhanta’ is probably the earliest known text to treat zero as a number in its own right. Brahmagupta was the one to give the area of a triangle and the important rules of trigonometry, including values of the sin function. introduced the formula for cyclic quadrilaterals and the concept of negative numbers. Brahmagupta was the first person to use mathematics to predict the positions of the planets and the timings of the lunar and solar eclipses. He additionally calculated the length of the solar year, which was 365 days, 5 minutes, and 19 seconds. This calculation is quite accurate based on today’s calculation of 365 days, 5 hours and 19 seconds. Most of his important discoveries were written as poetry rather than as mathematical equations. He is considered to be one of the greatest mathematicians in Indian history. His contributions to mathematics and science have made major differences to several mathematical problems by establishing the basic rules that currently allow us to find their solutions. He was given the title of ‘Ganita Chakra Chudamani’ by a fellow scientist, which is translated as ‘the gem of the circle of mathematicians’.

The 18th-century mathematics giant Leonhard Euler was born on April 15, 1707, in Basel, Switzerland. Euler’s former education began in Basel, and in 1720 at the age of 13, he attended the University of Basel. He received his Master of Philosophy in 1723. During this time, Johann Bernoulli tutored him on Saturday afternoons and soon recognized his extraordinary skill in mathematics. Leonard spent three more years studying mathematics under the guidance of Bernoulli. In 1726 he completed his dissertation De Sono, which focused on the propagation of sound. In 1735, Euler made his first paramount in mathematics when he solved the Basel Problem - which amounted to finding the exact sum of the reciprocals of squared whole numbers to infinity. In 1737, he published Mechanica, which included his advances in mathematical analysis and defined his analysis as the “mathematics of the infinite and the infinitesimal.” In addition to mathematics, Euler also wrote in the physical sciences. He made outstanding contributions to geometry, infinitesimal calculus, trigonometry, algebra, and number theory. Over 800 books and papers have been written by him in these fields.
