Energy touches every part of Indian family life.

• The two-wheeler that starts every morning- running on a NatAmpere™ sodium-ion starter battery.
• The inverter that kicks in when the power cuts- backed by a 1.2 kWh sodium-ion pack with 95% efficiency and approximately 3 hours of 400W backup.
• The streetlight outside is powered by a sodium-ion battery that runs for 12 to 15 hours on a single solar charge.

The next decade of global deep-tech will have Indian names in it.

Not as vendors. Not as assemblers. As inventors with original IP, world-class products, and the ability to compete globally on performance, not just on price.
I say this not as ambition, but because it has already started.

From Roorkee, we are manufacturing sodium-ion cells validated by DRDO and cleared by Sigma-Aldrich. The chemistry behind every cell is protected through patents filed in India, not licensed from overseas manufacturers and not adapted from foreign playbooks.

Built here, from the ground up.

CATL has Naxtra. BYD has global scale. Faradion had a decade-long head start before being acquired by Reliance. And from IIT Roorkee, we built a fully indigenous sodium-ion system covering the anode, cathode, electrolyte, and cell technology that competes with the best in the world.

That is what India’s deep-tech decade looks like.
It does not arrive through announcements. It shows up in patents, manufacturing facilities, and products that ship.

National Technology Day exists to remember that moment and to ask what India is capable of building next.
We have an answer.

Indi Energy began at IIT Roorkee with one question:
