Industrial 3D printing in full colour.
A hand painted prototype housing takes a finisher somewhere between four and eight hours, depending on the masking. That cost sits on every unit, and it is usually what makes small run colour work uneconomical.
Sailner’s platform deposits colour, translucency and surface texture during the build itself, at 21 micron layer resolution. The part comes off the bed finished.
Where that matters:
Consumer product development. Final colourways reviewed before tooling is committed. Three finish options in a week rather than one in a month.
Collectibles and licensed figures. Gradients, translucent hair and sheer fabric effects, with no paint line and no variance between units.
Heritage reproduction. Porcelain and ceramic surfaces where the decoration is part of the object rather than applied to it.
Textiles. Direct printing onto fabric, which allows structured surface work that cut and sew cannot produce.
