Exports of polyethylene materials from Iran are now possible again after nearly 40 days of restrictions.

⭕ Exports of raw polymer materials and compounds originating from Iran have been suspended until further notice. ⭕

⚠️ Following the recent conflict involving the United States and Israel against Iran, several major petrochemical complexes, including Jam Petrochemical Company and Amir Kabir Petrochemical Company, were targeted. The total estimated market value of the petrochemical facilities affected by the conflict is approximately USD 15 billion.

🚫 In response, and in order to meet domestic demand, the export of all raw polymer materials and compounds originating from Iran—including polyethylene (PE), polyvinyl chloride (PVC), and polypropylene (PP)—has been temporarily suspended.

🟢 Authorities expect that, with continued progress in the reconstruction of the damaged petrochemical facilities, restrictions on polymer exports will be lifted in the near future.
