The Cyrus Cylinder (Persian: استوانه کوروش‎, romanized: Ostovane-ye Kūrosh) or Cyrus Charter (منشور کوروش Manshūre Kūrosh) is an ancient clay cylinder, now broken into several pieces, on which is written a declaration in Akkadian cuneiform script in the name of Persia's Achaemenid king Cyrus the Great.[2][3] It dates from the 6th century BC and was discovered in the ruins of Babylon in Mesopotamia (modern Iraq) in 1879.[2] It is currently in the possession of the British Museum, which sponsored the expedition that discovered the cylinder. It was created and used as a foundation deposit following the Persian conquest of Babylon in 539 BC, when the Neo-Babylonian Empire was invaded by Cyrus and incorporated into his Persian Empire.

در محلی که هم‌اکنون این کلیسا قرار دارد تا قبل از قرن چهارم میلادی معبدی غیر مسیحی وجود داشته‌است. در قرن چهارم کلیسایی بزرگ جای آن معبد را گرفت. این ساختمان تا قرن دوازدهم بر جای بود ولی در آن زمان جمعیت پاریس به‌طور ناگهانی بالا رفت و تصمیم گرفته شد تا کلیسا را بزرگ گردانند. بدین ترتیب ساختمان قبلی را خراب کرده و در سال ۱۱۶۳ میلادی ساختمان جدید شروع شد که ساختن آن تقریباً دو قرن طول کشید و در ۱۳۴۵میلادی به پایان رسید. این کلیسا تا مدتی طولانی بزرگترین کلیسای اروپا بود ولی هم‌اکنون نه تنها در اروپا بلکه در فرانسه کلیساهای بزرگتر از آن وجود دارند. اهمیت آن در این است که زیباترین اثر در #معماری #گوتیک می‌باشد. برای تزیین داخل و خارج آن صدها مجسمه کوچک و بزرگ از سنگ یا چوب تراشیده‌اند

The was by architectural firm . The grey building has an archwise like a . The building has a on both sides, these are made up of smaller glass windows. The smaller windows are mostly squared and around 1485 millimeters wide. All of these are hung around a structure of steel cables, 34 metres high and 42 metres wide, which makes it the largest glass-window cable structure in . Each facade has 26 vertical and #22 . The facade was designed and installed by Octatube.
The Markthal is built on top of a - buried village in the Polder of Westnieuwland. This polder was surrounded by water and d***s to protect the polder during high-tide. There were a few houses and farms in this polder, also at the site of the Markthal.
During the building of the Markthal, a tenth-century farm was found 7 metres under the ground. Within the house were two stoves and a few fireplaces. The farm was part of a before , named , after . The inhabitants of Rotta were farmers, craftsmen and traders. Earlier, a small settlement from the fourteenth-century was found on the site.
Several foundations on the site are now next to the the Markthal.
