Progressing on ESG: Coveme improves its latest EcoVadis score 🏅

We're proud to announce that Coveme has once again earned an EcoVadis Bronze Medal — a recognition awarded to the top 35% of companies assessed by EcoVadis in the 12 months prior to the medal issue date.

This year marks concrete progress: with an overall score of 67/100, our result has improved since our last assessment — driven by the implementation of additional measures and the publication of further sustainability reporting.

EcoVadis, one of the most widely recognized platforms for corporate sustainability and ESG performance, conducts a thorough, document-backed assessment across four core pillars:

🌱 Environment — GHG emissions reduction (including Scope 3), waste management, energy efficiency, and sustainable product lifecycles.
👥 Labor & Human Rights — employee health and safety, fair working conditions, continuous training, and inclusive practices.
⚖️ Ethics — anti-corruption, fair competition, data security, and transparent corporate governance.
🤝 Sustainable Procurement — monitoring and assessing the environmental and social practices of our global supply chain partners.

For Coveme, this medal is a starting point, not a destination. In a global market where supply chain transparency and compliance with international regulations such as CSRD and CS3D are increasingly critical, this rating gives our enterprise buyers and stakeholders a clear signal of reliability.

🟢 This achievement is the result of a collective effort. A sincere thank you to all our internal departments and partners who turn our vision of an ethical, sustainable, and transparent future into concrete action every day.

We invite our partners and stakeholders to consult our updated sustainability profile to explore our path forward.

How do you measure the environmental footprint of a product? 📊🌱

Beyond generic claims and stereotypes, answering this question requires a rigorous, data-driven methodology: Life Cycle Assessment (LCA).

LCA evaluates a product's environmental impact across every stage of its lifecycle – from raw material extraction and processing to manufacturing, logistics, and end-of-life recovery or disposal. It replaces assumptions with verifiable, scientific data.

At Coveme, we apply this science directly to our PET film solutions:

🟢 we have developed a dedicated internal tool to calculate the carbon footprint of our product families, fully aligned with the GHG Protocol standard;

🟢 rather than relying on broad industry averages, we deliver clear, product-specific data – providing our customers with a solid foundation for their own Scope 3 ESG reporting.

Because measuring is the first step toward genuine decarbonization.

🌱 Real sustainability is built on years of measurable, certified action.

Coveme Group is proud to announce the publication of its latest Sustainability Report, marking another step in the company's ongoing commitment to responsible and sustainable growth.

Coveme's ESG journey is built on years of certifications and recognitions: since 2012, the company has been ISO 14001:2015 certified for environmental management, and more recently achieved ISO 45001:2023 certification for occupational health and safety. Since 2021, Coveme has also voluntarily undergone the Ecovadis rating, earning a Bronze Medal.

The first Sustainability Report was published in 2023, alongside the calculation of the organization's Carbon Footprint according to the GHG Protocol (scopes 1, 2, and 3). Since 2025, the Group has also implemented a Strategic Sustainability Plan to guide activities across the entire organization in the years ahead.

A journey built on concrete steps, reflecting Coveme's commitment to continuing to innovate responsibly.

🚀 Insulation is the key to e-motor reliability.

As e-mobility moves to 800V and fast-switching SiC inverters, motor designers face a tough choice: the steep voltage transients that make these drives so efficient also trigger partial discharge, silently aging the winding insulation. And simply adding more insulation to compensate steals slot space, traps heat, and lowers power density.

Coveme stands out as an electrical insulation specialist. We combine mica-Nomex® conversion with precision lamination to help motor makers resist partial discharge without over-designing. Our slot-liner range is engineered specifically for the demands of 800V architectures.

The result? Reliable insulation that protects both power density and processability.

We also close the gap between performance and production. Our solutions offer:

✅ partial discharge resistance: engineered for inverter-driven 800V motors;

✅ thermal management: higher thermal conductivity moves heat out of the slot, with no insulation over-design;

✅ built for the line: workability and efficiency for clean slot liner insertion and winding processes.

Whether it's traction motors or EV batteries, we provide the reliability your systems need and the qualification your programs demand – UL and IATF certified.

From the classrooms of Istituto Mattei to the heart of corporate treasury: meet Leonardo Marzaduri. 🎓✨

What happens when a long-standing school-company partnership meets the curiosity of a student stepping into the professional world for the very first time?

For Coveme, nurturing local talent begins right in our community. Thanks to a 13-year collaboration with Istituto Tecnico Economico Mattei in San Lazzaro di Savena (BO) – the alma mater of several Coveme team members – our colleague Enrico Tassinari, a Mattei graduate himself, has been volunteering through workshops on business models, treasury, and interview preparation. It was during one of these sessions that 4th-year student Leonardo discovered Coveme and chose us for his school-work experience.

Under Enrico's guidance as tutor, Leonardo's journey highlights the true spirit of mentorship and youth empowerment across three core pillars:

🔹 bridging education and territory: the partnership with Istituto Mattei is a concrete way to connect local schools with industry, giving young students a firsthand look at international business dynamics and building future recruitment pathways;

🔹 hands-on financial learning: during his weeks in our treasury department, Leonardo gained practical skills in financial planning, Excel management, and payment schedules, turning classroom theory into active operational support;

🔹 the power of an open mind: beyond technical tasks, Leonardo experienced the value of open communication and teamwork, realizing that solving daily challenges requires flexibility, listening, and a willingness to keep learning.

Leonardo’s positive energy and eagerness to grow remind us how vital the next generation is for Coveme’s future.

"To me, Coveme means Growth and Teamwork. From day one, I felt completely welcomed by a supportive team and guided by a tutor who dedicated himself to helping me build confidence for my future career."

Is plastic really the problem? Or is it time to look beyond the stereotype?

The reality is that plastic itself isn't the enemy. It's a resource.

At Coveme, PET has been at the heart of our technology for decades. We engineer and convert high-performance PET films because they deliver a unique combination of outstanding mechanical strength, durability, and one of the world's most widely recycled plastics.

The true challenge lies not in the material itself, but in how it is managed:

🔹 designed for circularity;

🔹 used efficiently;

🔹 collected & recovered responsibly.

When integrated into efficient recycling systems, PET stops being waste and becomes a key driver for a more sustainable, circular economy.

Welcome to episode 1 of our new series: “PET: beyond the stereotypes”. Over the coming weeks, we will separate myths from scientific facts, exploring the data behind one of today's most versatile and sustainable engineering materials, from Life Cycle Assessments (LCA) to eco-designed solutions.
