🌍 Today, sustainability has become a key design principle, influencing every stage of the construction process, from design to production.
From design and manufacturing to the management of the entire life cycle of precast structures, reducing environmental impact requires the integration of innovation, research and rigorous process control.
The evolution of the precast concrete industry relies on increasingly high-performance materials, efficient production processes, material traceability, circular economy principles and design solutions that successfully combine durability, structural performance and sustainability.
🎓 These were the key topics presented by Eng. Antonio Basso during the SITAR Summer School Program, part of the Interreg Italy–Austria project, at the Carinthia University of Applied Sciences, where students, researchers and industry professionals gathered to discuss the sustainable development of precast concrete elements.
