A round table about "Components for Space" will end the day. Our international panelists will share their views on rad-hard and approaches.

And the final award of RADECS 2021 in Vienna, the Best Conference Paper, goes to ….

“Effects of Layer-to-Layer Coupling on the Total-Ionizing-Dose Response of 3D-Sequentially Integrated FDSOI MOSFETs”, the outstanding result of a collaboration between Vanderbilt University and CEA-Leti. The same paper allowed its first author to also win the Jean-Marie Palau award for the best student presentation. Congratulations to all the authors!

Epaminondas G. Stassinopoulos, known to his many friends as Stass, turns 101 today, 17 January! He’s one of the great fathers of the conference and obviously knows a thing or two about long missions... These days he enjoys spending time with his family, reading and playing. Join our community in wishing him a very happy birthday!!!

Did you know?

The first National Day was celebrated on December 16, in memory of the launch of the first Italian satellite San Marco 1, which took place in 1964.

This launch allowed Italy to be among the very first countries in the world to go beyond the earth’s atmosphere.

The name of the spacecraft series comes from the San Marco platform, a jackup used as an offshore launch pad for the main phase of the project.

San Marco (English: Saint Mark) is the patron saint of Venice, often depicted as aiding Venetian sailors.
