Scandiuzzi Steel constructions, world-class excellence

Our associate company SCANDIUZZI Steel Constructions SpA has been operating in the metal construction sector, from design to installation, since 1973 in Volpago del Montello, Treviso, and since 1997 in Brindisi. It is located in the industrial area, near the city's port.
The company carries out complex projects, thanks to the combination of skilled engineering, procurement and construction activities - coordinated by specialised resources - as well as the possibility of shipping entire or modularised products of very large dimensions.
In fact, a complex of seven furnaces - for the production of hydrocarbons - is currently being transported by sea to be installed at a refinery in Iraq. ‘It was a complex job, involving advanced engineering rather than simple carpentry, consisting of various activities with turnkey delivery,’ said the plant manager, engineer Nicola Parisi.
‘Built entirely in Brindisi, based on Italian engineering and Italian manufacturing. A very high level of prefabrication, taking into account the fact that the structure will subsequently be placed at its destination site, thus reducing construction site operations and problems (the more you assemble, the more you reduce construction site problems/activities).’
Brindisi was chosen precisely because of the presence of the port with its large spaces, which allow for the creation of certain products - with significant dimensions and weights - and for the shipment, as in this case, of more than 800 tonnes in a single solution. Approximately 50 people were employed for no less than seven months for the entire operation.

The launching operations of the new bridge over the Arno River between Bellariva and Parco dell’Anconella in Florence were truly spectacular. ✨

The 140-metre steel structure, weighing 1,700 tons, was positioned thanks to highly precise, synchronized rotation and shifting movements carried out using SPMTs.
Currently, 80 mt rest between the south abutment and the pillar, while 60 mt remain cantilevered over the river. The next phase involves welding the keystone segment which will connect the two completed sections. 🏗



Spettacolari sono state le operazioni di varo del nuovo ponte sull'Arno tra Bellariva e Parco dell'Anconella a Firenze. ✨

La struttura in acciaio lunga 140 metri, 1700 tons, è stata posizionata grazie a delle manovre di rotazione e traslazione sincronizzate e di grande precisione utilizzano dei SPMT.
Attualmente 80 metri poggiano tra la spalla sud e la pila, mentre 60 metri restano a sbalzo sul fiume. La prossima fase prevede la saldatura del concio di chiave che unirà le due sezioni già realizzate. 🏗
