白鳥や雁の渡りが始まり、いろんなところで大集合してます。近距離で羽ばたいているところを見ると本当に大きくて驚きます。電柱との対比で見てみるとかなり大きいのがわかると思います。

Making a guitar - Preparation for painting.

When painting, I always keep in the back of my mind the fact that it is difficult to paint the inside of the truss rod adjustment groove properly with a spray gun, and have just ignored it, but I thought it would be easier if I applied a primer coat before gluing the fingerboard, so I tried applying sealer, surfacer, and even a little white paint. I plan to paint it thoroughly when I spray the whole thing.

いつも塗装の際にトラスロッドの調整溝の中をスプレーガン で上手に塗装できないのを心の片隅に置いてなんとなくスルーしてきましたたが、指板を接着する前に下地塗装しておけば楽だなと思い、シーラー、サーフェーサー、白の捨て吹きまでやってみました。 全体スプレーの際にしっかり色を乗せる予定です。

I adjusted the thickness of the Hokkaido alder. The fresh wood has a very nice color. The pale pink is very beautiful. However, I plan to paint it with a solid color. Next time I want to make it transparent.

道産アルダー(ハンノキ)の厚み調整を行いました。新しい木地がの色がほんのりピンクでとても綺麗です。しかしながら今回はソリッドで塗りつぶす予定です。次回使う時はシースルーで仕上げたいと思います。

The ebony was sawn and the binding glued on, and the alder from Hokkaido was rough cut. I haven't decided on the details of the specs yet, but I plan to continue working on the parts that won't have an impact.

エボニーを製材してバインディングを貼って指板を作りました。ボディ用に道産アルダーをラフカットしました。道産アルダー、とても良い感触です。スペックの詳細を決めかねてますが、やれるところはどんどん進めます。

今日もデントコーン畑に丹頂鶴が集まっていました。おそらく私は今後作るギターにタンチョウのカラーリングを採用すると思います。自然が産み出す色は本当に美しいです。
