🎉 Our Sake Rice Risotto Kit Launch Event was a huge success — thank you to everyone who came!
We cooked up two Miyagi-grown sake rice varieties — Miyamanishiki and Kura no Hana — and tasted them side by side with Sasanishiki, a classic Japanese eating rice. The reactions said it all: “It’s got such a different texture!” “Oddly, I love it.” “The risotto version is on another level!”
Sake rice is grown exclusively for brewing — it’s rarely eaten as it is, and almost never available to the public. Hearing guests discover its character for the first time made the whole evening feel worthwhile 🌾
The room was filled with people who made this kit possible: those who supported us from the earliest idea through to launch, the rice farmers who grow these remarkable grains, our regulars from Fermenteria and Clan, and guests visiting Clan for the very first time.
When we opened Clan, we hoped it would become a place where customers, producers, our neighbours, and our team could all gather around the same table. Last night, that vision was right in front of us.
Bringing a rare, brewery-only ingredient to your home kitchen — that’s what this kit is about.

當天我們現場炊煮了兩款宮城縣產酒米——美山錦與蔵の華,並與一般食用米ササニシキ並排讓大家直接品嚐比較。現場反應熱烈: 「口感好特別!」「說不上來,但就是喜歡!」「做成燉飯完全不一樣了!」
酒米是專門為釀造日本酒而培育的品種,幾乎不對外流通,一般消費者幾乎沒有機會品嚐。能讓大家親身感受酒米的獨特個性,是這個活動最讓我們感到欣慰的地方🌾
當晚聚集的,是來自各方的重要人士——從最初給予我們啟發與支持的朋友們、辛勤栽培酒米的農家、Fermenteria與蔵藍的老顧客,到第一次踏進蔵藍的新面孔。
創立蔵藍時,我們期許這裡成為一個讓顧客、生產者、在地居民與我們這些製作者,都能在同一個圓桌相遇、交流的地方。昨晚,那幅畫面真實地出現在眼前。
