Introducing COMFORT GRAIN – the newest addition to LIXIL’s Design Style collection. “Design Style” is LIXIL’s total coordination framework born from a desire to support users through the home design journey - from the uncertainty of “I’m not sure what interior style suits me” to the challenge of “pulling it all together” – guiding you toward a space that is uniquely and beautifully your own.

The concept behind “COMFORT GRAIN” is “a life of comfortable coexistence – with yourself and the planet.” Inspired by the growing desire to live in harmony with nature, the style responds to a trend toward healing and deep relaxation in the home. Earth-toned colors, environmentally conscious materials, and textures that engage all five senses come together to create a space where mind and body can truly be free.

Central to the COMFORT GRAIN aesthetic is “cottoarte” – a new pattern in the Ecocarat Plus collection.

【INAX MUSEUM 20th Anniversary】

INAX MUSEUM, a cultural facility operated by LIXIL, is an interactive museum dedicated to the world of clay, ceramics, and “monozukuri”, the spirit of making. Set in Tokoname City, Aichi Prefecture – a town with more than a thousand years of ceramic-making history and the birthplace of the INAX brand – the museum reflects a deep connection to the region’s craft heritage.

While known internationally as the INAX MUSEUM, its Japanese name is INAX LIVE MUSEUM. The two words in this name – “LIVE” and “MUSEUM” – each represent a different dimension of the museum’s philosophy. “MUSEUM” expresses respect for history, while “LIVE” embodies the vitality of creativity in the present.

Twenty years ago, these two dimensions of time were brought together in a new cultural initiative with the opening of INAX LIVE MUSEUM. At the intersection of LIVE (the present and its creative energy) and MUSEUM (the past and its history), INAX MUSEUM will celebrate its 20th anniversary in October 2026.

As we approach this milestone, we invite visitors to reflect once again on the value of monozukuri. The sensation of touching clay, the challenge of shaping something that does not always behave as intended, and the joy when a piece finally takes form – these moments embody its essence. By engaging with the natural elements of earth, water, and fire, and creating with one’s own hands, we believe this experience can nurture the strength needed to shape the future.

Next, we introduce the second of the three core technologies behind LIXIL’s innovations: “NANO TECH.” NANO TECH is a technology that applies science at the nanoscale to materials, achieving both enhanced functionality and refined beauty.

Products powered by this technology include:
・ Ecocarat, a functional interior wall material that offers excellent humidity control while helping to reduce unpleasant odors and harmful substances such as formaldehyde – supporting a more comfortable indoor air environment
・ Water purification cartridges that deliver safe, great-tasting water

These products all stem from LIXIL’s ceramic technologies – the very foundation of our expertise.

Ecocarat applies the technology behind the foamed ceramic Caromousse, while the water purification cartridges use LIXIL’s proprietary high-performance ceramic filters. Thanks to their antibacterial properties, these filters help prevent bacterial growth inside the cartridge, ensuring consistently safe and great-tasting purified water.
