Spiber × YOKE 2024SS collection

東京発のデザイナーズブランド「YOKE」より、当社が開発するBrewed Protein™繊維を使用したニットウェア3型、デニムウェア2型（ジャケット、トラウザーズ）、半袖・長袖Tシャツ、スウェットシャツの合計8型のウェアがSpring/Summer2024コレクションとして国内外の店舗で発売されています。

YOKEとの取り組みは今回が初めてとなり、デザイナーの寺田氏はBrewed Protein™繊維に本質的な持続可能性や多様な製品へ応用できる点等に関心を高く持ち、この度、Spring/Summer2024の注力製品の素材として採用いただきました。今後も継続的に製品への使用を検討いただく予定です。

A total of eight new items of clothing featuring Brewed Protein™ fiber—including three knitwear items, two denim items (jackets and trousers), short- and long-sleeved T-shirts, and sweatshirts—are now available in stores in Japan and some overseas, as part of the Spring/Summer 2024 collection from YOKE, a designer brand from Tokyo.

This release marks the first time that YOKE has worked with Brewed Protein™ materials. YOKE’s designer, Norio Terada, is highly interested in the potential of Brewed Protein™ fiber and its applicability to a variety of products, and accordingly chose it for use in the brand’s Spring/Summer 2024 featured items. The company also plans to consider further adoption of Brewed Protein™ materials in future products.

YUIMA NAKAZATOのドキュメンタリー映画「燃えるドレスを紡いで」がニューヨークのトライベッカ国際映画祭でHuman / Nature賞を受賞しました。

映画には、YUIMA NAKAZATOのクリエーションに欠かせない素材として、当社が開発する構造タンパク質素材「Brewed Protein™繊維」やそれらを使ったコレクションルック、Spiberの鶴岡本社での撮影映像、当社代表の関山のインタビューなども盛り込まれております。

※Spiberの本社がある山形県鶴岡市の映画館、鶴岡まちなかキネマでは、5月24日〜6月7日まで公開予定です。

Yuima Nakazato’s documentary film ‘Dust to Dust’, has been selected for 2024 Tribeca Festival and won the Human/Nature Award.

The film includes footage of Spiber’s Brewed Protein™ fiber as an essential material for YUIMA NAKAZATO’s creations, collection looks using the material, footage shot at Spiber’s Tsuruoka headquarters and an interview with our representative, Kazuhide Sekiyama.

Most sports apparel is made from synthetic molecular materials (polyester, nylon, etc.) manufactured from petroleum. Microplastic emissions from products containing these materials have recently drawn attention due to their potentialnegative impact on our health and the environment. In light of this issue and increasing concerns about the depletion of petroleum resources, it is of utmost importance for our society to shift towards using sustainable materials.

To address these global-scale environmental issues, Spiber and Goldwin began pursuing joint research and development initiatives in 2015. Eight years later, we have now achieved the first mass production of Brewed Protein™ fiber.

To celebrate this achievement, the following brands have announced the launch of globally-available products featuring Brewed Protein™ fibers for the Fall/Winter 2023 Collection:
