AFFORDABLE HOUSING PROGRAM
Affordable housing projects is important and significant in ordinary citizens life economically, this is measured in it's significance as it spreads it's benefits in every sector from transport sector to small enterprises and businesses to extension services.
Affordable housing program resonates well and is compatible compared to other development projects.this government for the last 3 years have spread their wings and installed this project all over the country with every county having an ongoing or completed affordable housing project which is an achievement for growth of our economy as follows
1.Employment - Affordable housing program has employed many people ranging from 1500 - 3000 making their daily bread in every single site hence increasing employment rates in Kenya with a single project going beyond one year it means the over 1500 individuals engaged in every site will be employed throughout the contract period.
2.Econonomic growth - Affordable housing projects is a saviour to economic growth as over 1500 employees being paid their weekly salary boosts the economy and cash flow with food vendors,hawkers,bodaboda riders,basic items venders and wholesalers benefitting enomously from the services they render and sales they make after payment of the affordable housing employees.
2.Security - With 0ver 1500 people employed directly for months in the affordable housing projects the rate of insecurity is reduced as most people will be engaged entirely in their work hence no time for iddle minds of criminality.
3.Roads and infrastructure - With affordable housing projects installed in some inaccessible areas the government always provides extension services like betterment of access roads leading to the sites, provides street lights and always do extension services necessary band beneficial to the community.
