Nam Theun 1 Power Company Limited Supports Outstanding Students at Phonsy Secondary School

Nam Theun 1 Power Company Limited (NT1PC) provided educational support worth 4,000,000 LAK to outstanding students of Phonsy Secondary School in Pakkading District, Bolikhamxay Province, for the 2025–2026 academic year.

The award ceremony was held at Phonsy Secondary School on 29 May 2026 and was attended by more than 280 participants from various sectors, including representatives from the Pakkading District Education and Sports Office, village authorities from Phonchalern Village, teachers, parents, and students.

NT1PC was represented by Mr. Kittisack Boupha, Deputy Manager of the Environment Section, along with members of the company’s team. On behalf of NT1PC, Mr. Kittisack presented awards to students who achieved excellent academic performance, including those who ranked 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in the school’s academic examinations.

This marks the third time NT1PC has supported this annual event since the commencement of commercial operations (COD). The company is proud to contribute to community development, particularly by encouraging young people who demonstrate dedication and excellence in their studies.

On April 8, 2026, the Management of Chaleun Sekong Energy Company Limited (CSE), the major shareholder of Nam Theun 1 Power Company Limited (NT1PC), visited the Nam Theun 1 Hydropower Project site in Bolikhamxay Province to monitor and support operations at the site. The visit also aimed to provide comprehensive guidance and develop plans to improve the quality of life for staff and field experts by creating a better working environment.😌💪

The site visit also focused on planning improvements and developments to infrastructure and facilities, including enhancing the landscape within the project area to create a greener, more beautiful environment that is in harmony with nature. In addition, the Management discussed plans to establish a landmark for the project to create a positive impression on guests and visiting delegations.🌿
