R.I.P 💔
As though it has become our painful destiny at Balamand to continually mourn the loss of our students, and graduates ….
It is with profound sorrow and deep sadness that the University of Balamand mourns the tragic loss of one of our Faculty of Engineering Master’s graduates and current part-time Research Assistant, Mohammad Ghamloush , who passed away together with his brother following the recent air strike on their home in Nabatieh.
Mohammad was a promising young professional whose dedication, commitment, and gentle spirit left a lasting impression on all who had the privilege of knowing and working with him. Through his academic achievements and his contributions as a Research Assistant, he reflected the values of excellence, integrity, and perseverance that the University strives to instill in its students and graduates.
This heartbreaking loss is a painful reminder of the devastating human consequences of violence and conflict, which continue to affect innocent families and deprive our society of its youth and future potential.
On behalf of the University of Balamand community, I extend our deepest condolences to his family, loved ones, friends, colleagues, and all those grieving this tragic loss. Our thoughts and prayers remain with them during these difficult times.
May his memory be eternal.
Prof. Elias Warrak
