πŸŽ‰ Congratulations! πŸŽ‰

The Fisheries Science Society is proud to share the great achievement of our lecturer, Dr. Ragavan Nadarajah, who has successfully completed his Ph.D. and obtained his Doctorate. πŸ‘¨β€πŸŽ“βœ¨

This remarkable milestone is an inspiration to all of us in the field of Fisheries Science. We wholeheartedly extend our warmest wishes for his continued success in research, teaching, and guiding future generations. πŸŒŠπŸ“šπŸ’‘

Congratulations to Dr.Ragavan Nadarajah on Successfully Defending His Doctoral Thesis (PhD)😍🎊πŸ₯³πŸ‘

We are proud to celebrate a remarkable achievement by our colleague, Ragavan Nadarajah, who has successfully defended his PhD dissertation at the University of Sri Jayewardenepura, Sri Lanka. His research was conducted under the supervision of Professor Chamari Dissanayake and Senior Professor Sivashantini Kuganathan.

Ragavan's dissertation focused on the population dynamics of shrimp fisheries in the Jaffna Lagoon, where he conducted cross-cutting research on ecological and socio-economic dimensions of the fishery. His work is especially significant for contributing to the sustainable management of this highly valuable and in-demand species, particularly in the context of data-limited fisheries.

We extend our heartfelt congratulations on this important milestone and admire the dedication throughout this journey. Well done, Dr. Ragavan, and keep going πŸŽ“πŸ‘¨β€πŸŽ“

🌿✨ Small Actions, Big Impact! ✨🌿

We’re excited to share a positive step taken by the Fisheries Science Society – University of Jaffna toward a greener tomorrow! πŸ’š

With the kind support of Save a Life Organization, we received a large dustbin donation yesterday (July 9, 2025) – a powerful symbol of our commitment to making our surroundings cleaner and creating a Zero Plastic Zone inside our campus. 🧼🚯

This isn’t just a bin – it’s a reminder for all of us to:
♻️ Say NO to single-use plastic
♻️ Dispose of waste responsibly
♻️ Lead by example in protecting our environment

A heartfelt thank you to Save a Life for standing with us on this eco mission. Together, let’s build a plastic-free future, starting right here at UoJ! 🌎πŸ’ͺ
