The process of obtaining natural rubber latex with higher concentration by separating water and non-rubber substances using a centrifuge machine is known as rubber latex centrifugation.
After separation, the rubber particles gather in the center. As a result, two main fractions are obtained:
Concentrated latex – The Dry Rubber Content (DRC) is above 60%, and it is used for manufacturing latex products.
Skim latex – The rubber content is about 4%, and it is used for secondary or by-products.
Centrifuged latex should be stored in clean, dry, and well-ventilated tanks or containers.
To prevent bacterial growth and coagulation, it is essential to use the correct amount of ammonia and TZ dispersion.
