We are delighted to share that 12 NanoVNAs were received for the development of the RF Laboratory, along with 3 additional units to be awarded to future competition winners organized by the MTT-S Student Branch, University of Moratuwa, under the MTT-S NanoVNA Program.

This contribution marks a significant step in strengthening hands-on learning and research opportunities in RF and Microwave Engineering for our students.

We would first like to express our sincere appreciation to the IEEE Microwave Theory and Techniques Society for hosting impactful programs like the NanoVNA initiative to empower student chapters and advance microwave engineering education worldwide.

We also extend our heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Ranga Rodrigo, Dr. Chamira Edussooriya (Chapter Adviser), and the E Club University of Moratuwa for their continuous support and guidance throughout this process.

Looking forward to utilizing these resources to inspire innovation, research, and excellence in RF engineering.

✨ An Inspiring Evening at the University of Moratuwa ✨

Last Sunday, 21st December, at 4:00 PM in ENTC 1, we had the great honor of hosting Dr. Goutam Chattopadhyay, Senior Scientist at NASA, IEEE Fellow, and President of the IEEE Microwave Theory & Technology Society (2025), along with Dr. Syed Muzahir Abbas, IEEE MTT-S Young Professionals Region 10 Coordinator.

Dr. Chattopadhyay delivered a fascinating seminar titled “MHz to THz Technologies and Our Place in the Universe.” It was a truly valuable session where knowledge was shared, questions were explored, and plenty of laughs were exchanged, making complex high-frequency concepts both engaging and inspiring.

We were also honored by the presence of Prof. Arjuna Madanayake, whose participation made the event even more meaningful.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make this session a memorable one. 📸

Looking forward to many more such enriching technical engagements!
