🌟 We proudly celebrate Julio César Calvo-Alvarado on being recognized as the first Emeritus Professor at the Tecnológico de Costa Rica (Costa Rican Institute of Technology), in the context of the institution‘s 50th anniversary. Don Julio is a Member of the EcoCitizen Advisory Board.
🌳This distinction honors a lifetime dedicated to science, public education, environmental stewardship, and academic excellence. Throughout his career, don Julio has served as Former President of TEC, Head of the School of the Forest Engineering, and Executive Director of the Centro Científico Tropical, contributing profoundly to the fields of natural resource management, forest hydrology, forest ecology, and tropical soils in Costa Rica and worldwide. 🛰️
