Section 18: Fishing with the aid of artificial light
Prohibition:
Subject to subsection (3), no person shall fish with the aid of any artificial light, except with the written authorization of the Permanent Secretary.
Conditions for Authorization:
The Permanent Secretary may issue an authorization for the use of artificial light only in the following cases:
(i) To the operator of a fish farm for the purpose of fishing within the fish farm.
(ii) For catching undersized crabs to stock a fish farm.
(iii) For catching shrimps with a shrimp net.
(iv) For catching fish to be used as bait.
(v) For light sticks attached to submerged fishing gear.
Any authorization issued is subject to terms and conditions imposed by the Permanent Secretary.''
