Major Milestone for Malta’s Industrial Future!

We are thrilled to announce the successful Phase One handover (Levels 0 & 1) of the massive KK3 Project at Stmicroelectronics Malta

Representing Elbros, the project management team at iAS is incredibly proud to see this landmark facility come to life. This is a massive strategic investment that will supercharge Malta’s future in advanced manufacturing and semiconductor technology.

A project of this magnitude takes a village. This milestone is a direct result of the relentless dedication, collaboration, and hard work from Elbros Construction, iAS, our incredible subcontractors, suppliers, consultants, and the client team.

While Phase One is a huge win, we’re just getting started. As work pushes forward on the remaining phases, our focus remains laser-sharp on quality, safety, and delivery. A massive thank you to everyone who put in the sweat to get us here—on to the next phase!

Tall buildings presentation by LOM architecture

As part of the SACES series of site visits and presentations, we invited LOM Director Ben Taylor to speak to students within the Faculty for the Built Environment at the University of Malta about tall buildings.

It was a great opportunity to showcase some of LOM architecture and design's past and current work on the island including a residential tower approaching completion and developing designs for a new mixed-use tower, while sharing insights into the challenges, benefits, and key drivers behind the design and delivery of tall buildings.

iAS and LOM have collaborated on a number of major projects in Malta and are currently both involved in Project Landmark, St. Julian's.

From Blue Clay to Five-Star Luxury!

We recently hosted another successful site visit at the Mellieħa Bay Hotel project! In collaboration with SACES, iAS welcomed University students to explore the complexities of delivering a 360-room, five-star luxury resort.

The session offered a deep dive into the realities of large-scale project management, featuring insights from:

Project Overview: A look at the aerial scope and the intricacies of administering a FIDIC Yellow Book framework.

Geological Mastery: Dr. Adrian Mifsud explained the structural challenges of building across four distinct rock layers, including the infamous Blue Clay.

The Contractor’s Perspective: Perit Adrian Falzon shared the unique experience of working directly for a contractor.

Project Controls: The team at ESC broke down design coordination, cost control, and progress reporting.

The day concluded with a site walk-through, where students engaged in high-level discussions on workmanship standards and real-time coordination.

Supporting the next generation of professionals is at the heart of what we do. Thank you to everyone who contributed to this invaluable learning experience!

CITY OF FOOTBALL - TA' QALI - Exciting news for the future of Maltese football! 🇲🇹⚽️

We are incredibly privileged and honoured to announce that we have been entrusted once again by the Malta Football Association - 1900 to deliver the visionary National Stadium masterplan: ‘City of Football - Ta' Qali’.

This landmark project is set to redefine the local football landscape for generations to come, creating a world-class hub for athletes and fans alike. This appointment follows our successful delivery of the National Football Centre, which was proudly inaugurated last September.
