PART ONE - FLAME NATION
INTRODUCTION
Birth name "Harris Jumbe" was born on 26th September, 1994 at Malamulo Hospital, Thyolo, Malawi. Rap Genius started making Rap music in 2013 at Thug Records with Producer Gonos The Thug in Area 23, Lilongwe, Malawi. Rap Genius has made music with various Musicians such as Ace Kid (Che Sight) now a photographer and his elder brother Black Knowledge formerly known for representing a group called Mad House. Other Artists such as Cyfa Steez, Toddie, People's Mcee and G-Newo (Souls of Underground Clan) have featured the rapper on some of their songs/music.
Rap Genius was born to parents "Beatrice and Steven Jumbe" of Christian faith. Growing up as a youngster, the rapper was exposed to Rap music by his uncle "Gift Chidothe" who raised the artist from seven to eleven years of age. "I grew up listening to Eminem, Wu Tang Clan, 50 Cent (G Unit), 2 Pac, Jay Z and a respective selection of R&B music from various Musicians".
In 2005, the Rapper moved to Lilongwe from Blantyre to live with parents after his uncle fell sick and died the following year (2006). In his primary school years, Harris has gone to schools such as Ladybird International School (Blantyre) and Walani Private School (Lilongwe) after moving from Blantyre to Lilongwe. Also, the rapper has gone to secondary schools such Lakeview Secondary School, Phwezi Boys Secondary School and Gateway Boys Secondary School to pursue his Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE).
Tertiary Education
In 2014, Harris Jumbe enrolled at Natural Resources College to pursue a Diploma in Land Administration in which the rapper attends it for a semester and changes for Diploma in Irrigation Technology and attends it for a semester then drops out of college. During the era at Natural Resources College, the rapper was involved in numerous drug and alcohol abuses leading to college drop out.
