Polybion We grow Celium™ - Premium Cultivated Cellulose. Available for sampling and commercial orders. Polybion™ Spain - Diego de León, 59 2o C, Madrid 28006. España. Col.

We feed bacteria with agro-industrial fruit waste to create high-performance biomaterials for fashion, interiors, and product design. Polybion™ is growing premium, next-generation materials designed with nature and manufactured with biology. The company’s mission is to bring performance and possibility to 21st Century designers and material engineers. Polybion™ uses waste as a raw material, and designs, produces, and finishes its bioassembled products under the same roof to increase sustainability and drive the circular economy. Polybion’s first product, Celium™, is a bacterial cellulose-based, high-performance leather substitute. Polybion™ Corporate Laboratory Mexico - Escuela Médico Militar #129 Int 7. Las Reynas. LOMO — Made with Celium™ — The Materials

Same origin. Completely different expressions.

Both Celium™ Manto and Celium™ Espumante begin with the same cultivated cellulose.

What changes is the way the material is transformed.

Manto is translucent, light and expressive, allowing light to pass through and reveal the material’s natural variation.

Espumante is denser and more textured, creating a stronger visual and tactile presence.

In Lomo, the two materials show how one biological origin can evolve into radically different expressions through transformation and through the hands of the creators who learn how to work with it like Natural Urbano .

Same biomaterials. Different material languages. Beautiful lighting pieces.

Growing a biomaterial is only half the work.

Celium™ starts with biology. But after harvest, another transformation begins: stabilization,
color, texture and refinement.

This is Celium™ Espumante in Iron Strata hue (Marbled Terracota) developed by combining
Polybion’s biotechnology and chemistry with the knowledge of Mexican leather specialists
and artisans.

From discarded fruit streams to bacterial cellulose, from bacterial cellulose to functional
material, and from material to products, pieces and art.

Biotechnology grows the structure. Then human hands take over, and craft gives it character.

From Mexican craft to Mexican biocraft.

LOMO — Made with Celium™ Edition.

Our third collaboration with Natural Urbano in less than a year.

This time, we went back to Lomo, a suspended light from Natural Urbano’s Legacy Collection, and asked what an existing design could become when reinterpreted through Celium™.

Inspired by the sudadero traditionally placed beneath a horse saddle, a familiar form to Natural Urbano co-founder Sebastián Beltrán, Lomo carries a personal visual and material memory that is transformed through light.

Made with Celium™ Manto and Celium™ Espumante, this new edition explores how cultured cellulose can reveal structure, transmit light and give an established object a completely different material presence.
After Lapso and Cenit, this third collaboration represents something important for us: the value of working with a material repeatedly, learning from every project and expanding what it can do.

An existing design. A new material expression. A collaboration that keeps evolving.

What happens when bacterial cellulose moves from material development into a demanding, functional product?

Together with Austrian bike-bag maker Traag, we’ve been working on a first-of-its-kind bike frame bag crafted with Celium™ Espumante and Celium™ Manto.

The collaboration brings together two very different areas of expertise: Traag’s experience designing functional bags specifically for bicycles, and Polybion’s work growing and transforming bacterial cellulose into materials for real-world applications.

For us, projects like this matter because new materials only become relevant when they leave the sample library and become products that are designed, constructed and used.

A functional object, made for movement, built with a material grown by bacteria. Built to test what bacterial cellulose can become
beyond the expected.

Coming soon, available through Traag Bags .

Biomaterials can become premium products.

Grow them right. Refine them with precision. Learn how they behave. Integrate them into existing supply chains.

There is a learning curve. But after years of working, improving, and not getting discouraged, you see what is possible: biomaterials can be a premium alternative for many applications.

And none of it happens alone. To our national and international suppliers who have supported the process along the way: we may not be able to name you all, but you know who you are.

And swipe to the end: those are some of the first cardholders we ever made.

Same Goal. Very different ex*****on.

Another day in life of FOAK I.

Have you ever heard the sounds of a biofabrication facility?

The hum of machinery. Water moving through the system.Bacterial Cellulose being handled. The rhythm of people, biology, and technology working together.

This is the everyday soundscape of FOAK I, the place where bacteria transform agroindustrial fruit waste into Celium™ - Premium Cultivated Cellulose.

Turn the sound on and step inside.

Materials can become a language of their own.

In Cenit, natural ash, stainless steel, and Celium™ Premium Cultivated Cellulose create a dialogue between structure, light, and biological variation.

Each Celium™ layer carries its own texture, tone, and density. Its surface is shaped by growth, making biology part of the authorship of each piece.

A lighting object where nature participates in the design language.

Unique. Unrepeatable. Grown-to-order.

Fold Studies 01 is now available.

A limited drop of folded everyday objects made with Celium™, a cultivated material grown by bacteria.

Developed in collaboration with Polybion and PLEK, the drop explores a simple idea: a surface already contains the possibility of form.

Through folding, that surface becomes structured.
It opens, holds, protects, and carries without stitches, glue, or hidden construction.

Each object is made to move through daily life, while carrying a different logic of material and function.

Folded from Celium™.
Made for everyday use.

Limited pieces available now.
