We were honoured to visit the office of Penang Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow at Komtar for a meaningful discussion on UWC’s business growth, future expansion plans, and talent development initiatives.

Accompanied by his political secretary Lau Keng Ee, the meeting reflected the strong partnership between the Penang State Government and industry leaders in driving innovation and sustainable growth.

During the discussion, UWC Berhad deputy group chief operations officer Ng Sze Yen shared insights into the Group’s operational growth, investment strategies, and ongoing talent development efforts.

UWC also shared its aspiration to further expand operations in Penang, strengthening the state’s position as a hub for high-value manufacturing, semiconductor, and technology industries.

Penang Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow reaffirmed Penang’s commitment to supporting industry growth, innovation, and skilled talent development.

Also present at the meeting were UWC Berhad chief operations officer Prof Datuk Lau Chee Kheong and deputy group chief executive officer Dr Matin Ng Chin Liang.
