Center for Robotics and Industrial Automation The Center for Robotics and Industrial Automation (CeRIA) is located at Faculty of Electrical Engineering (FKE), Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka (UTeM).

CeRIA thrives on collaboration, working closely with industry partners, government agencies, and academic institutions to bridge the gap between theory and practice. CeRIA was established in 2011 to develop and nurture the research growth in FKE. CeRIA conducts researches in new technologies, consultations, testing and also new product developments. In addition, CeRIA also support the post-graduate programs through university-industry collaborations.

On Friday, 17 April 2026, Motion Control Research Laboratory (MCon Lab), FTKE UTeM with collaboration Centre of Robotic and Industry Automation (CERIA) has successfully hosted an in-house training session titled “Basic 3D Printer Training & Maintenance”.

The training kicked off with a warm welcome and opening remarks by Assoc. Prof. Ir. Dr. Mariam, followed by a series of hands-on learning activities led by Mr. Shazwie Harith (4th Year Mechatronic Engineering student), one of the research assistants at MCon Lab.

A total of 16 participants attended the training from Mechatronic Engineering background.
