🌴 Unlocking the Power of Oil Palm Waste
Biomass waste, especially those generated from the Oil Palm Industry, is an underappreciated material when it comes to sustainable industry practices. Through advanced thermal conversion processes such as pyrolysis, these materials can be transformed into biochar, a carbon-rich product with multiple environmental and industrial benefits.
The porous nature of biochar can improve soil health, enhance carbon sequestration, and support more sustainable agricultural practices. At the same time, converting these biomasses into biochar helps reduce waste while creating new value from materials that would otherwise be discarded.
At Treehouz, we have successfully pelletized biochar made from EFB fibres to achieve good hardness and density. Producing dense and durable pellets is important, as it helps improve handling and significantly reduces transportation and logistics costs.
We strongly believe in the future of biochar as a valuable sustainable material, and we are taking the necessary steps through research, testing, and process development to ensure it is ready for practical and commercial applications.
