𝗔 𝗺𝗮𝗷𝗼𝗿 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗠𝗡𝗖 𝗶𝘀 𝗷𝗼𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗢𝗠𝗣𝗔𝗦𝗦 @ 𝗞𝗼𝘁𝗮 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝗶 𝗟𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗮𝘁.

ARATAS Group, a member of the Omron Group, has announced plans to invest approximately RM259 million into a new manufacturing facility at COMPASS @ Kota Seri Langat, marking another major milestone for our managed industrial township.

For COMPASS, this is more than a land transaction.

It is a strong validation of what we have been building: a modern, well-planned industrial ecosystem for manufacturers, logistics players, technology users and global companies looking for a credible base in Selangor.

The new facility will support OMRON’s relocation and expansion in Malaysia, with production capacity expected to increase by 1.5 times. The facility is also expected to serve growing demand across India and the wider Asia-Pacific market.

Welcoming a global name like OMRON to COMPASS reinforces the role Kota Seri Langat and the Dengkil Corridor is beginning to play in Malaysia’s next phase of industrial growth.

KUALA LUMPUR: Aratas Corp, a member of the Omron Group, is investing about RM259 million to build an advanced manufacturing facility at COMPASS @ Kota Seri Langat, Selangor, as it expands production capacity to meet growing demand in India and the Asia-Pacific region.

𝗔 𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗵 𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴: 𝗖𝗢𝗠𝗣𝗔𝗦𝗦 @ 𝗞𝗼𝘁𝗮 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝗶 𝗟𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗻𝗼𝘄 𝗳𝘂𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗻 𝘂𝗽.

COMPASS IP Sdn Bhd, a joint venture between Permodalan Nasional Berhad (via MIDF Property), Kumpulan Wang Persaraan / KWAP (via KWEST), and the AREA Group of Companies, has signed the sale and purchase agreement on the final 36-acre plot of the 220-acre freehold managed industrial park. With this transaction, the entire park is spoken for.

The buyer, Global Data Infrastructure Sdn Bhd (part of a global consortium specialising in data centres) will develop a facility carrying a 300 MVA power load and 210 MW of IT capacity. Approvals in principle are already secured, with construction to follow shortly.

COMPASS @ KSL sits inside the logistics triangle of Port Klang/Westport, KLIA and Shah Alam, with a dedicated link to the West Coast Expressway, and it lands Selangor firmly alongside Johor as one of Malaysia's premier destinations for large-scale data-centre investment.

KUALA LUMPUR: COMPASS IP Sdn Bhd has signed a sale and purchase agreement (SPA) for a 14.6 hectare (ha) industrial plot at COMPASS @ Kota Seri Langat in Selangor, paving the way for the development of a large-scale data centre.

AREA Group was pleased to attend the 𝗗𝗖𝗖𝗜 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗮𝘁 𝗞𝗟𝗖𝗖 𝗼𝗻 𝗧𝘂𝗲𝘀𝗱𝗮𝘆, 𝟭𝟮𝘁𝗵 𝗠𝗮𝘆 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲.

It was a valuable day of insight, discussion, and networking with key players shaping Malaysia’s digital infrastructure landscape.

The sessions covered some of the most important themes facing the industry today, including the AI race, the opportunities emerging from the 𝟰𝘁𝗵 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝟱𝘁𝗵 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗥𝗲𝘃𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀, and the infrastructure requirements needed to support Malaysia’s next phase of data centre growth.

It was particularly insightful hearing from 𝗗𝗮𝘃𝗶𝗱 𝗗𝘇𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗼𝗹, 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗲𝗳 𝗖𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗿 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝗡𝗘𝗫𝗧𝗗𝗖, on the opportunities ahead as AI continues to reshape global demand for digital infrastructure.

We also had the opportunity to learn more about 𝗜𝗗𝗖𝗔 𝗰𝗲𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗠𝗲𝗵𝗱𝗶 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝘆𝗮𝘃𝗶, and to hear from 𝗜𝗿. 𝗛𝗮𝘀𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘇𝗮𝗹 𝗯𝗶𝗻 𝗛𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗮𝗻, 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗲𝗳 𝗚𝗿𝗶𝗱 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝗧𝗡𝗕, on the challenges and solutions TNB is putting in place to support the increasing demand for data centre capacity in Malaysia.

For AREA Group, the conference was also a valuable opportunity to network with stakeholders across the digital infrastructure ecosystem and continue engaging in conversations around Malaysia’s next phase of growth.

A shame it could only be for one day, but duty called us back to home base.

The facility is impressive, and it was a pleasure to see another major investment strengthening Malaysia’s digital infrastructure landscape.

The launch also provided a valuable opportunity to network with industry leaders, investors, and stakeholders, while sharing more about AREA Group and our COMPASS @ Kota Seri Langat site as part of the broader push to support Malaysia’s next phase of digital and industrial growth.
