🏛️✨ MSG Industrial Talk (Internal): From Idea to Visual Narrative: Crafting Architectural Presentation Boards ✨🏛️

The Industrial Talk was successfully conducted with Diploma Interior Design students on 28th April 2026 under the supervision of Ts. Noor Hafizah Mahamarowi. The session featured Ts. Kamal b Mohd Idris as the invited speaker.

The talk provided valuable insights into effective visual communication, presentation board composition, and current industry practices in architecture and interior design. Students gained deeper understanding on how creative ideas can be transformed into compelling visual narratives through professional presentation techniques and design storytelling. 🌟

🏛️✨ MSG Industrial Visit: Rumah Belanda & Villa Sentosa, Kampung Morten, Melaka ✨🏛️

The industrial visit in collaboration with Perbadanan Muzium Melaka (PERZIM) was successfully conducted with Diploma Interior Design students on 29th April 2026 under the supervision of Ts. Noor Hafizah Mahamarowi.

Throughout the visit, students participated in guided museum tours and site analysis activities involving observation, documentation, and evaluation of spatial organization, interior elements, and user experience. The visit to Villa Sentosa provided valuable exposure to the traditional Rumah Melayu Melaka, allowing students to gain deeper insights into cultural heritage, architectural identity, and traditional construction techniques. 🌟

🎬✨ Guest Lecture: Breaking Boundaries: Pathways into the Global Screen Industries

We were delighted to welcome Professor Chris Carter for an inspiring guest lecture on Breaking Boundaries: Pathways into the Global Screen Industries.

The session explored how the animation and game industries are becoming increasingly interconnected through shared tools, workflows, and creative practices such as real-time production, world-building, and cross-platform storytelling. Students were also encouraged to embrace broad and non-linear career pathways while continuously strengthening their practical skills through creativity, experimentation, and hands-on experience.

This insightful session provided valuable exposure to the evolving global screen industries and inspired students to think beyond traditional career boundaries in animation and gaming. 🌟

✈️🧭 Adjunct Lecture: Introduction to Navigation

We were honoured to welcome Commander Khairil Hariss bin Hj Khairuddin RMN (Ret.), also known by his callsign “Lancelot”, for an insightful adjunct lecture on Introduction to Navigation.

The session covered essential concepts of air navigation and oceanic operations, including Rhumb Circle, Great Circle, SID, and STAR Charts. Students also gained valuable exposure to the responsibilities of an Air Tactical Officer (TACCO) and real-life experiences from Op Fajar 2008 involving the rescue mission of Malaysian vessels held by Somali pirates.

In addition, the speaker shared important aviation safety lessons, emphasizing how complacency can contribute to incidents and accidents, while also highlighting the importance of mastering modern aircraft systems and technologies in today’s aviation industry.
