Towards Developing Intervention Proposals for the National Productivity Framework and Roadmap 2035

PERANTIM was invited by the Malaysia Productivity Corporation (MPC), an agency under the Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry (MITI), to participate in an engagement session aimed at gathering industry insights on the ecosystem, challenges, and opportunities for improvement in strengthening Malaysia’s local medical device manufacturing sector.

Representing PERANTIM were its President, Mr. Johari Abu Kasim, and Secretary-General, Dr. Hyzan Yusof, who shared valuable industry perspectives and strategic recommendations on enhancing collaboration among stakeholders to elevate Malaysia’s medical device manufacturing capabilities and competitiveness on the global stage.

The constructive discussion reflected a shared commitment towards driving productivity, innovation, and sustainable growth within the local medical device industry, in line with the aspirations outlined in the National Productivity Framework and Roadmap 2035.

PERANTIM welcomes more engagement sessions of this nature in the future to ensure that industry voices continue to be heard and translated into meaningful policies and initiatives that support the growth and development of Malaysia’s medical device landscape.

Following the encouraging response to our previous sessions, PERANTIM is pleased to announce Series 2 of our Medical Device Packaging: ISO 11607-1 & ISO 11607-2 training programme.

This 2-day course is designed to help medical device professionals understand the international requirements for packaging of terminally sterilized medical devices, including sterile barrier systems, packaging validation, sealing processes, testing requirements, and regulatory compliance.

🎉 Successful Completion of ISO 13485:2016 Training! 🎉

We are pleased to share the successful completion of the ISO 13485:2016 – Quality Management System for Medical Devices Industries: Guidance for Understanding and Implementation Training, held on 18–19 May 2026.

The two-day programme brought together professionals from across the medical device industry to strengthen their understanding of ISO 13485 requirements and gain practical insights into implementing an effective Quality Management System (QMS) that meets regulatory and industry expectations.

A special thank you to our trainer, Encik Fuad Daud, for sharing his expertise and practical experience, and to all participants for their active engagement and commitment to continuous learning.
