August 26 supports NDF ahead of military exercise in Botswana
August 26 Group of Companies is proud to hand over a donation to The Ministry of Defence and Veterans Affairs (MODVA) in support of Namibian Defence Force (NDF) troops who will participate in Military Exercise Tshwaragano III, scheduled to take place in Botswana, September 2026.
The donation, valued at close to N$500,000, consists of stationery items, laptops, printers, promotional materials and branded clothing. The consignment was handed over by Fanuel Haikuti, Executive for Corporate Services at August 26 Holding Company and received by Lt Col Ndubano from Defence Logistics, who also serves as the Real Life Chief of Exercise Tshwaragano III.
This contribution forms part of the Group’s Corporate Social Responsibility commitment to supporting national institutions, strengthening operational readiness and recognising the dedication of soldiers who remain central to Namibia’s national security, peace and stability.
Exercise Tshwaragano III is a bilateral training exercise between the NDF and the Botswana Defence Force - BDF- THEBE YA SECHABA. It is aimed at enhancing joint cooperation, interoperability, coordination and the exchange of best practices between the two neighbouring defence forces.
August 26 Group of Companies remains committed to supplementing the capacity and modernisation efforts of the NDF by providing goods and services that contribute to a robust, prepared and battle-ready force. The donation is expected to boost troop morale, strengthen administrative and logistical support, and contribute to the successful ex*****on of the exercise.
Through this gesture, August 26 reaffirms its support for the MODVA, the NDF and broader efforts to promote regional peace, security and cooperation.
