Colonel Alexis Grégoire Vasse, Defence Attaché from Senegal, was among the Defence Attachés and Advisors accredited to Namibia who recently visited August 26 Group of Companies as part of an industrial familiarisation tour organised under the framework of the Foreign Military Attachés/Advisors Association in Namibia.
The delegation toured the production facilities of August 26 Manufacturing and SatCom, where they were introduced to the Group’s expanding industrial capabilities, technological advancements, and contribution to Namibia’s economic development agenda.
Speaking during the visit, Colonel Vasse said the engagement provided an important opportunity for military diplomatic corps to better understand Namibia’s industrial landscape and explore areas for enhanced business cooperation between Namibia and their respective countries.
He noted that August 26 Group of Companies is providing products and services that are suitable for the international market, positioning the company as a strategic player capable of contributing to regional and global industrial partnerships.
Colonel Vasse further expressed confidence that the engagement would open doors for future cooperation in areas such as product exports, technology transfer, and industrial collaboration between Namibia and partner countries.
He also commended the Group’s diversification strategy, describing it as an impressive and forward-looking approach that strengthens both the defence and civilian industrial sectors. According to him, such strategic diversification contributes meaningfully to economic growth, infrastructure development, local manufacturing and Namibia’s broader industrialisation objectives.
The visit highlighted the important role that August 26 continues to play in advancing innovation, industrial development, and sustainable economic growth, while creating opportunities for international cooperation and investment.
