BUILDING AFRICA TOGETHER: August 26 (A26) Holding with its subsidiary August 26 Manufacturing is participating in the Africa 2026 Trade Expo and Business Summit - third edition, hosted by Africa Economic Leadership Council in Swakopmund from 28–30 May 2026. The initiative aims to accelerate trade, unlock investment opportunities, and deepen economic integration under the Africa Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) framework.

A26 Manufacturing forms part of the exhibitors, providing a strategic opportunity for the A26 Group of Companies to strengthen its visibility, expand partnerships, and position itself as a key contributor to Namibia’s industrialisation agenda and continental economic integration under the AfCFTA.

PROTECTIVE SOLUTION: During the Barloworld Namibia “No Harm Day” event held yesterday in Windhoek, August 26 Manufacturing August 26 Manufacturing Senior Manager for Production Operations, Shingirai Makoto, highlighted the importance of participating in the exhibition, describing it as a valuable platform for service providers to showcase their products and services.

Makoto said August 26 Manufacturing was motivated to participate because the event aligns with the company’s vision of becoming a partner of choice in the manufacturing sector, including the production of Personal Protective Wear (PPE).
He noted that the event demonstrates the commitment of service providers and stakeholders towards achieving Vision 2030 goals through collaboration, innovation, and industrial growth.

He further stated that the exhibition provided August 26 Manufacturing with an opportunity to showcase its range of safety wear and equipment, while also exposing the company’s capabilities in garment manufacturing and fabric selection.

RECAP: Senegalese Defence Attaché commends August 26 Group of Companies during industrial familiarisation visit

Colonel Alexis Grégoire Vasse, Defence Attaché from Senegal, was among the Defence Attachés and Advisors accredited to Namibia who recently visited August 26 Group of Companies as part of an industrial familiarisation tour organised under the framework of the Foreign Military Attachés/Advisors Association in Namibia.

The delegation toured the production facilities of August 26 Manufacturing and SatCom, where they were introduced to the Group’s expanding industrial capabilities, technological advancements, and contribution to Namibia’s economic development agenda.

Speaking during the visit, Colonel Vasse said the engagement provided an important opportunity for military diplomatic corps to better understand Namibia’s industrial landscape and explore areas for enhanced business cooperation between Namibia and their respective countries.

He noted that August 26 Group of Companies is providing products and services that are suitable for the international market, positioning the company as a strategic player capable of contributing to regional and global industrial partnerships.

Colonel Vasse further expressed confidence that the engagement would open doors for future cooperation in areas such as product exports, technology transfer, and industrial collaboration between Namibia and partner countries.

He also commended the Group’s diversification strategy, describing it as an impressive and forward-looking approach that strengthens both the defence and civilian industrial sectors. INDUSTRIAL EXPOSURE: August 26 Group of Companies today had the privilege of hosting a delegation of Defence Attachés and Advisors accredited to Namibia for an exposure visit to the Group’s industrial facilities across its various portfolios. The engagement provided an opportunity for the military representatives to gain deeper insight into the Group’s operations, exchange perspectives, and explore avenues for future business cooperation while strengthening bilateral relations between their respective countries and Namibia.

Colonel Osmahan Haji, Defence Attaché from the People's Republic of Tanzania and Dean of the Military Diplomatic Corps in Namibia, during a briefing, said the visit presented an opportunity for delegates to learn, exchange experiences, and gain a better understanding of the important work carried out by the August 26 Group, as well as to appreciate its contributions to national development priorities and achievements. She said: “The engagement provides valuable knowledge and practical experience for the benefit of our respective countries, while further strengthening cooperation among us.”

The delegation toured SATCOM and August 26 Manufacturing production facilities, where they gained first-hand practical insight into the production processes of the secure and tactical communications systems as well as the garment and footwear manufacturing factory.
