Walvis Bay Power Plant project entails the development, construction, operation and maintenance of an open cycle gas turbine power plant and related infrastructure. This plant will produce power using regasified liquefied natural gas (LNG) as feedstock or fuel. Enabling an end-to-end solution for the people of Namibia, the project infrastructure components include:

– A floating storage and regasi

fication unit (FSRU)and marine infrastructure
– Overland gas and water pipelines
– Open cycle gas turbine power plant

The power plant will be located on 16 hectares of land on the eastern side of Dune 7, along the R44 between Walvis Bay and Swakopmund.
