More goodies unboxed and getting a light cleaning...

I haven't managed to post all the unboxings done to date yet, but there are a lot more "klippies" getting ready and prepped for the launch of our website πŸ€—

The 2 large museum sized Erongo aquas mentioned to me earlier today, that after their makeover, they're hoping to find new homes where they can be appreciated by many more adoring fans than just our crazy & quirky team.

Anyone who'd like to rescue these two gorgeous girls, or any of the aquas in pic 3 should please feel free to reach out to us via DM to discuss the "lobola" with Mark πŸ˜‰

(The others in the ultrasonic bath are already reserved, sorry guys!)

Cool stuff you can do with 😎 who else has tried this out?

Did you know that Phenakite has the ability to melt ice at room temperature much faster than many other crystals? I didn't, so I tried it out (just for kicks) and this is what happened...

2 & 3 Still have a whirlpool bath session booked in the ultrasonic πŸ›πŸ§½

Blue Topaz & Quartz from Erongo, Namibia. Some nice ones in this lot, too! (you don't want to know what's in store for the really meh ones, they may need some rescuing πŸ™ˆ)

Mark's still got to decide what's for sale, and what isn't, but if you like something you see, please feel free to pop us a message with your best offer πŸ˜‰

What on earth is Mark looking at?? Swipe left to find out... Can you ID any of these minerals correctly?

I was just as surprised and amused as I'm sure you'll be if you see what he brought into the kitchen last night 🀩

In 12 years of knowing Mark, this was the first time I'd ever seen these babies "in the flesh" and my mind was truly blown 🀯

We're currently sorting through what we have on hand from this particular locality, and will hopefully be able to share availabe specimens with you soon.

Unfortunately, none of those pictured here are available for sale - Mark invested much blood, sweat and tears acquiring them himself between 1992 to 1998, BUT πŸ€ There may be some good quality pieces from this locality up for grabs in the secret lot I have stashed aside to give away.

Yeah, you read that right! We've got some cool stuff to give away to our awesome fans, but you'll have to read on to find out how it works πŸ˜πŸ˜‡

Mark has chosen 24 gorgeous specimens out of what he's collected over the last 30 years from various Namibian localities & finds for me to give away...

Every once in a while, I'll include in a random post on my feed, with info on how to participate in the giveaway.

Each will be different, and in each one, one specimen from the 24 piece lot will be the prize. The lot is, and always will be a secret, so only a few people will ever know what's in it (and they really are great pieces 😍)

Since this is our very first , our first winner will have FIRST PICK of any one piece in the whole Aris Secret Giveaway lot - it'll be shipped directly to you, with our compliments. To be included in this first giveaway draw, you'll need to:
1. Follow us on IG
2. Be one of the first 50 followers to tag a friend in the comments below.
(T&C: only 1 comment & 1 tag per person allowed; you can only tag someone who isn't already tagged)

Once we have 50 eligible comments, we'll do a live lucky draw + notify you via DM (so that's only 100 names in the hat for this one!)

So, this week while I was doing my day job, Carla was in the workshop familiarizing herself with her new "models"

As a professional photographer, she's more used to photographing people and landscapes, and not "klippies"

These are a few of the amethyst specimens I gave a quick bath & sorted out last week 😁

Later, I'll go over the pics she shot while I was "nailing" it in the salon this week, and we'll probably get a chance to post some for you next week, so please stay tuned πŸ˜‰

Day 4 - looks like we're slowly getting through to the good stuff 😍 up for cleaning today.

Mark (still scratching about) hauled this HUGE (but pretty) monster out of the cabinet for a rinse as well - I think once she's had a shower she'll definitely look a lot better πŸ˜‚
