Site visits are one of the best parts of what we do at GEMBA. From operating mines to greenfield projects, it’s always good to get out in the field — and yes, enjoy a bit of Namibian sun along the way.

What makes it valuable is the interaction. Engaging with different drilling companies, supervisors, and operators gives us the opportunity to learn something new on every site. Different methods, different approaches — all part of the drilling game.

It’s also fascinating to understand the various geological formations across regions. No two sites are ever the same, and that’s what keeps things interesting. As I always say, you never hit the ceiling in this industry — there’s always something new to learn.

Being on-site also gives us the chance to add value where we can, sharing insights to help improve drilling performance and efficiency.
