Visit by The WAVE Team to NASC Molecular Diagnostics Laboratory

The Central and West Africa Virus Epidemiology for food security ( WAVE ) team led by Prof. Justin Pita paid a courtesy visit to the National Agricultural Seed Council, (NASC) today 21st July, 2026. The team was received at NASC Headquarters by the Director General, Hon. Fatuhu Muhammed.

Discussions was centred on collaboration in plant health diagnostics and seed system strengthening, covering technical support, capacity building, funding opportunities, technical support and the development of an implementation roadmap.
The visit concluded with a tour of the NASC Molecular Diagnostics Laboratory.
This visit marks a new paradigm for international partnerships and commercialization strategies for the NASC plant Molecular Diagnostic centre.
