Trenching is a mineral exploration method involving the excavation of trenches or ditches to expose underlying geological formations. It helps geologists and mining companies understand the subsurface geology, rock types, mineralization, and structural features. By analyzing the exposed layers, geologists can collect samples for analysis, mapping out potential mineral deposits and determining the extent of mineralization.
Trenching results guide decisions on where to focus further exploration efforts, such as drilling, based on the mineral content and distribution observed in the exposed layers and generally provides relatively inexpensive sampling compared to drilling, allowing for a broader assessment of a larger area within a budget.
In 2023, our team at Titan Minerals Ltd has trenched and sampled an excess of 4 line kms on different formations, targeting Gold, Copper, Lithium and other minerals. Our procedures are in line with best international practice, we follow and implement the guidlines of JORC standard, ensuring our clients get the best value out of such advanced exploration activities.
