Earlier this week, Cedar Crest Construction Limited was represented by its Managing Director, Engr. Osiobe Okpakoigho, MNSE, MNICE, MNIEE, at the “Talk to the Professionals” programme on Rize FM 106.7, Warri, in collaboration with the APBN Delta State Chapter and NICE Warri Chapter.
The discussion focused on “The Role of Civil Engineers in Nation Building” and provided an opportunity to engage the public on the vital role civil engineers play in the planning, design, construction and maintenance of roads, bridges, buildings, drainage systems, water supply and other critical infrastructure.
The conversation also highlighted how quality infrastructure supports economic growth, connects communities, creates employment and improves access to essential services.
A key point emphasised by our Managing Director, Engr. Osiobe Okpakoigho, was the need for members of the public to take proper steps before engaging anyone for an engineering or construction project.
He encouraged the public to verify both the engineer and the company they intend to engage, ensuring that professionals are properly registered with COREN and that companies are appropriately registered and qualified to undertake the work.
The public should request the engineer’s COREN registration number and verify it through the official COREN platform. This can help reduce quackery, promote professionalism and ensure that qualified professionals and competent companies handle engineering works.
The programme further emphasised the importance of collaboration among government, professional bodies, engineers, contractors, communities and other stakeholders in delivering safe, sustainable and quality infrastructure across Nigeria.
At Cedar Crest Construction Limited, we remain committed to professionalism, quality delivery, public safety and sustainable infrastructure development.
Building with competence. Delivering with responsibility.
